Premium Japanese Scissors Quartet "Oire Nomi" 3,9,15, 24mm "Yasaku"
These Japanese scissors "Oire Nomi" have widths of 3,9,15, 24mm and a length of 220mm. These are new tools and directly imported from Japan.
The handles are made of red oak c from Japan. The Ura (shape at the back of the iron) is perfectly executed. These are scissors of the Yasaku brand produced in medium series in the city of Miki. The irons are made of white steel (white steel 1) carbonized bi-layer hand forged, there is a thick layer of hard steel (guarantee of quality).
I personally know the sharpener who assembles and adjusts these scissors. These scissors have nothing to envy the big names. They are produced in a workshop where three generations succeed one another and work together assisted by other staff. This is why it is the best value for money.
These "Oire Nomi" scissors are short. They are very nice for small cabinetmaking jobs. This one has the so-called "Mentori" (shape) with beveled edges, it is a modern shape. These are very good scissors to discover some more high-end things and to deepen the use of such scissors.
Like all new scissors, fine sharpening is to be expected, as well as the adjustment of the ferrule. In Japan, it is always up to the purchaser of the tool to finalize and adapt the tool to his own use, it is a philosophy of the tool... I will provide all the advice to be able to obtain an adjustment.
With this tool, you can discover Japanese tools. For cabinetmakers, sculptors, carpenters, or simply DIY enthusiasts.
