This Japanese scissor called "Tataki Nomi" has a width of 18mm and a length of 300mm. It is directly imported from Japan. It is of good quality.
The iron is made of hand-forged two-layer carbon white steel (white-paper), there is a thick layer of hard steel (a guarantee of quality). There is the "Kunisaburo" brand stamp on the iron. The Ura (the back of the iron) is very regular.
These "Tataki Nomi" chisels are similar to our carpenter's chisels, thicker and longer than the small "Oire Nomi" popular with Westerners. These chisels are made to withstand much more impact during work. They are perfectly suited for making mortises on frames, but also for furniture on hardwoods such as oak (plan for a slight change in bevel angle).
