Premium Japanese Scissors "Bachi Nomi" 12mm "Ouchi San"
This Japanese chisel "Oire Nomi" has a width of 12mm and a length of 227mm. It is a new tool and directly imported from Japan. The handle is made of Japanese white oak. It is a chisel of the famous Shokunin (master) "Ouchi" (last generation) of the city of Miki, with its symbol of the crossed double leaf.
The iron is made of white steel (white steel 1) carbonized two-layer hand-forged, there is a good layer of hard steel (hagane). These "Bachi Nomi" chisels have a dovetail-shaped head. They are very pleasant for small cabinetmaking jobs. The neck is different from the classic nomi, here it is flat to access difficult places.
This is an excellent chisel to discover some very high-end things and to deepen the use of such chisels. Like all new chisels, fine sharpening is to be expected, as well as the adjustment of the ferrule. In Japan, it is always up to the purchaser of the tool to finalize and adapt the tool to his own use, it is a philosophy of the tool... I will provide all the advice to be able to obtain an adjustment.
With this tool, you can discover Japanese tools. For cabinetmakers, sculptors, carpenters, or simply DIY enthusiasts.
